On Nov. 28th, 2023, we invite you to join us at the Einstein Room, Dockwize Innovation Hub, Vlissingen, for “Iran Unplugged: A Multisensory Storytelling Night.” This isn’t your typical event; it’s a journey through three generations, unveiling the tapestry of a family’s experiences in Iran and the entrepreneurial odyssey that led to the creation of oostaMo in the Netherlands.
Engaging Your Senses
Your ears, eyes, noses, and tongues are in for a treat as we explore captivating stories, guided by the rhythm of Persian dance, and indulge in water infused with herbs sourced directly from Iranian farmers. Each sip tells a unique story, connecting you to the very essence of our journey.
The Farmer, the Physician, and the Serial Entrepreneur
The night begins with the tale of a farmer who had 9 sons and 1 daughter—my grandfather. From his story, we traverse through time, witnessing the eldest son’s journey to become a physician and the unexpected twists of the “black sheep” of the family. From heavy metal music to becoming a serial entrepreneur, from software programming to exporting red gold (saffron), and from starting the first vegetarian restaurant in the second big city of Iran to standing on the stage to pitch to the president of the country.
