Atefe Asgharimoghadam

In the arid landscape where Iran and Afghanistan converge, Atefeh’s tale unfolds, a narrative woven with determination and ingenuity. At 34, armed with a master’s degree in Food Industries and nine years of industry experience, Atefeh embarked on a journey to redefine her path. But she’s not just a professional; she’s a devoted mother to Delnaz, her 4-year-old daughter.

In 2021, Atefeh, alongside her mother Esmat Khanum, ventured into entrepreneurship with a mere fifty dollars in hand. Drawing from Esmat’s years of expertise running a herb shop, they set out to craft their destiny. From procuring raw herbs to meticulously processing them into fine powders, their commitment to quality became their hallmark.

As their business gained traction, they expanded their product line and reached customers in distant cities. With each success, they reinvested in their venture, embracing innovation and self-sufficiency. Yet amidst their growth, their dedication to quality remained unwavering, earning them a reputation for excellence.

Their story transcends mere commerce; it’s a testament to familial bonds and the essence of life itself. It’s about the nurturing touch of a father’s garden, the meticulous care of a mother’s hands, and Atefeh’s precision in the drying process.

At WaterMates, we are honored to partner with Atefeh and Esmat, sharing their commitment to quality and sustainability. Through our collaboration, we not only source their peppermint, oregano, and dried quince for our blends but also provide educational resources to empower them on their journey towards sustainable farming practices.

Join us in savoring the aromatic journey of Atefeh and Esmat, where each herb tells a story of resilience, passion, and the transformative power of hard work. Together, let’s experience the magic of their herbs, adding flavor to life, one sprinkle at a time.
