Kiani Family

The Story of Dry Quince by the Kiani Family

Amidst the rolling landscapes, lies Marzgaran village, nestled 4 kilometers west of the bustling city of Arak. This village’s name, in Persian, speaks of borderlands and arable mountain lands – a place where Mr. Kiani and his family have cultivated a unique bond with their garden.

Mr. Kiani’s journey began not amidst orchards, but in the world of engineering. From factories to his own private ventures, he built bridges, sheds, and homes, showcasing his dedication to creation. Upon retiring, he traded steel beams for fruit trees, becoming an agricultural engineer in his own right.

The Kiani family’s garden, now 26 years old, emerged from what was once barren land back in 1997. It has since become more than just an orchard; it’s a cherished member of their family. “All the trees and vines,” Mr. Kiani’s daughter fondly says, “they are our sisters and brothers. We have an emotional bond with each of them.”

Mrs. Kiani, his wife, has been the alchemist behind their famed processed garden products. From jams to preserves, her creations have garnered a loyal following. Customers return year after year, praising the quality that seems to emanate from the purest of intentions. “It’s made with love, truth, and correctness,” Mr. Kiani’s daughter explains, “that’s what sets our products apart.”

Despite the challenges of maintaining the garden, Mr. Kiani remains resolute. Selling it, to him, would be akin to losing a piece of their family’s history. He’s committed to finding solutions that keep their garden thriving, sustaining not just the crops but the deep-rooted connection they share with their land.

At WaterMates, we’ve formed a direct bond with the Kiani family and their dry quince. It’s not just a product; it’s a story of dedication, love, and a commitment to sustainable farming. We provide educational materials to farmers like Mr. Kiani, empowering them to take small steps towards sustainable practices. Together, we’re weaving a tapestry of stories, each thread representing our shared journey towards a more sustainable future.
