Nieuwe Bodem - The Netherlands

Nieuwe Bodem is a regenerative agroforestry enterprise based in the Achterhoek, founded in September 2020 by Joep, Meta van Drunen, Jeroen Hols, Jasper van den Munckhof, Carolien Wissing, and Bas Regenbogen. They cultivate mixed plantings of walnut and hazelnut trees, fruit trees, berries, grains, herbs (including mint), and flowers in the spaces between more perennial plantings. This approach enhances ecosystem resilience—requires no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides—and reinforces biodiversity.
Nieuwe Bodem is dedicated to developing a transition model for farmers committed to ecological regeneration, demonstrating how healthy food, fair farmer income, and environmental restoration can coexist. Their short supply chain ensures transparent and direct connections between producer and consumer, embodying the principles of sustainable, place-based agriculture.
They are the trusted supplier of mint for our blends—bringing the freshness of their regenerative herb cultivation directly to our products.
