Call for visionary inventors for connecting small farmers in Iran to the European wellness market

Heads up: This isn’t your typical investment—it’s more like a gamble. You’re not just putting money into a business; you’re betting on a dream and making a possibility come true.

Hi, I’m Mo, the founder of oostaMo. I come from a family of saffron farmers, and I’ve spent years chasing a dream: to help small family farmers in remote parts of the world become future-proof and resilient. I’m starting with my home country, Iran.

I’ve worn many hats over the years—bringing internet to my small hometown in Eastern Iran, working as a software developer, exporting saffron, and even opening the first vegan restaurant in Iran’s second-largest city. I also started a nature school for kids in the city and went back to my roots in farming by launching Keshmoon.

With Keshmoon, I combined my farming background, environmental concerns and tech skills to create a platform where farmers who save water could earn more by selling directly to consumers. While we failed in saving water, we did connect many conscious people to our wonderful farmers. Eventually, my investors decided to follow a different path and I sold my shares to investors and moved on to follow my dream in another structure.

That’s where Zikesht came in—a United Nation Development Program (UNDP)-backed platform for small farmers to share their experiences and learn from each other. We got 2,000 users on board, but due to internal regulations of UNDP, the project eventually stalled.
Now, I’m focused on oostaMo. The structure we have built to follow our mission is “to expand the world for small farmers”—showing them new farming possibilities and connecting them with markets.

Why Iran?

I’m from Iran, and I deeply understand the local farmers. Iran has incredibly diverse climates, from humid forests in the south of the Caspian Sea, to high mountains, from arid deserts to humid and warm climate in shores of Perisian Gulf, which means a wide variety of herbs can be sourced here. It’s one of the world’s top 20 large countries, offering a huge range of possibilities.

Can We Expand Beyond Iran?

Absolutely! If we succeed in Iran, we’ll definitely look to expand to other regions.

Our 3 to 5-Year Vision

We want to connect thousands of small farmers to over 100,000 subscribers, delivering monthly packages worth €20-30 each. Our goal is to reach €20 million in annual revenue with a 50% gross margin.

What Can We Guarantee?

We’re in the early stages and not yet profitable. Investing in us is a bit like gambling—we can’t guarantee returns, but we can promise to stay true to our mission, be transparent, and work incredibly hard to achieve our goals.

Virtual Shares: No Voting Rights

Since we’re raising small amounts from many investors, we’re offering virtual shares with no voting rights to keep decision-making simple. In a previous venture, giving voting rights led to conflicts that hurt the company and investors. With virtual shares, you’re not liable for any losses beyond your investment, but you’ll share in any profits as if you held actual shares.
If you’re looking to invest a larger amount and want a say in the company, let’s talk!

Valuation and Virtual Shares

We’ve decided to offer 10% of oostaMo for €100,000, based on comparisons with other startups and potential future funding rounds.
